UNESCO has designated 2017 as a special Zoltán Kodály anniversary year, and at the invitation of the Hungarian Embassy New Dublin Voices will be performing works by the famous Hungarian composer’s at Christ Church Cathedral on Monday December 4th as part of a Remembrance Concert.

Zoltán Kodály (1882-1967) was an outstanding Hungarian composer, music educator, ethnomusicologist, researcher and collector of Central European folk music. Kodály’s oeuvre contributed to the mutual enrichment of cultures and supported the promotion of international understanding all over the world. In recognition of his work and the 50th anniversary of his death, New Dublin Voices are honored to perform some of his finest works at this important event.
